THE JOURNEY SO FAR...
The Naked Pantry was launched as a market stall in May 2018 in a small courtyard in Wells, Somerset. I had attempted a month of plastic free shopping and found no options in my local area to shop for basic items without bringing home a tonne of plastic packaging. So I decided to do it myself!
I opened for business with a range of 15 organic dried foods, loose teas and coffee beans. A year later and I now stock over 100 different products, allowing my customers to massively reduce their use of plastic packaging.
In April 2019 I had the opportunity to open up a little shop, in the beautiful village of Butleigh, Somerset. Juggling young children and markets is not an easy task, so I jumped at the chance to make my business more sustainable in terms of my life and my family (and to shelter from the wind and rain!).
You will still find me popping up at markets and events in Somerset, but I have a beautiful shop as a base and can continue to grow my little business from here.
I have so many plans and an every growing list of things I'd like to stock. So watch this space!
I'm so grateful to everyone who has supported The Naked Pantry. Together we are doing great things for our planet.
